WRSC/IRSC 2010

World Robotic Sailing Championship / International Robotics Sailing Conference

Welcome to the 2010 World Robotic Sailing Championship and International Robotic Sailing Conference (WRSC/IRSC). This marks the first year the competition is being held in North America and the third edition of the regatta, with previous events held in Austria (2008) and Portugal (2009). The WRSC/IRSC is being combined with the Sailbot competition this year.

Both the WRSC and Sailbot regattas involve various competitive demonstrations of autonomous navigation and sailing ability. There are rules and regulations for each class; more information can be found here. The 2010 WRSC/IRSC event will be hosted by Queen's University Mostly Autonomous Sailboat Team (MAST) at the Kingston Yacht Club in Kingston, Canada.

The International Robotic Sailing Conference will be held in parallel with WRSC, in a format similar to the 2008 and 2009 editions. The aim of the conference is to promote the dissemination of works worldwide on the various engineering challenges around the development and operation of unmanned fully autonomous sailing boats.
